first bath, first time in church, pictures, and misc.

On Friday night Sassy had her first real bath where she was immersed in the water. I got in with her, we avoided all disasters, meaning she didn't poop on me, but there was pee. It's ok, Michael Pheps says everyone pees in the pool! She seemed to enjoy it, and then things went bad quickly, like a volcano, haha.

The middle picture is her at the ripe age of 7 weeks. We'll be taking weekly pictures like that for a while. The top is Uncle Brian's first visit with his neice. They seemed to get on well. He sang her some crazy tunes and tickled her, fitting into the crazy uncle niche nicely. I am sure she will enjoy that more and more when she gets older.

Yesterday Ginny had a big day. We went to her first store- I used the baby bjorn, b/c it was tight gift shop, and she tolerated all the jostling from the car and back nicely. Bill was home doing "house" stuff. We also visited her local Grandma- Mudge - for a couple hours. She did really well there aside from pooping through her diaper into her pants.

Today was also another big step, for mom and baby. Me, a new born germophobe, worked up the courage to take ginny into larger public arena and went to church. She looked ridiculously cute in her outfit that Uncle's Eric and Bill from Seattle sent her. Of course when she got home she needed a diaper change and was ready to eat, so i stripped her before we thought of getting a picture. We'll have to do that soon. The outfit still fits nicely, but thanks to Dad, her feet are very much outgrowing the tiny matching socks. She slept through the entire service, only stirring a couple of times.

Last night she slept an hour in her crib.. a step in the right direction at least. I really think she wakes up cold, her little arms and hands at least, b/c she hates to be swaddled, and sleeps with her ams above her head, they aren't covered by a blanket. I might have to try a sleeper again, but I think she hates the feet on them (too tight maybe), to at least get her arms covered.

Halloween is coming, as usual I am excited. She is being baptized the Sunday after, so we will have guests that night, Bill's parents. I hope they like my Halloween dinner, although I don't know if I will have time or money to do it like I used to.
